Erik Larsen calls out the people who constantly keep bitching about female superhero costumes on Twitter and Gail Simone cherrypicks the end of his rant to make him look like a sexist asshole.

Shortly afterward Larsen deleted his Twitter account because he got tired of idiots calling him a sexist/misogynist.

This mob mentality bullshit seriously needs to fucking stop! We’ve seen these idiots drive off Ken Levine off of Twitter and now they’ve driven off Erik Larsen because he dared say something that didn’t agree with their opinions. 

Also nice to see Simone call Larsen an old man considering the fact that he’s one of the few creators out there who did everything in his power to help keep Savage Dragon going even after the 90′s ended. And let’s not forget Larsen is one of the founding members of Image Comics a comic company that actually gives creators creative freedom to do what they want instead of just hand picking a creative team and telling them to write what they want them to write.

And what’s sad about this is that this is why so many people in the comics industry are so scared to speak out on Twitter because if they say anything that goes against the feminist/progressive pandering agenda that the mainstream comic companies are trying to push now then they’re gonna get bullied and driven off of social media.

This shit needs to fucking stop.

She also sicked her followers on Savage Dragon Creator Eric Larsen to the point he left twitter and avoided emails, over him bringing up how artistic representation of a female character isn’t ever about “the male gaze” or removing any strong traits about the character if they look like Powergirl, classic costume Wonder Woman, 90’s Storm, essentially the costumes that accentuated their physical traits to make them stand out from others and define them as unique.

Simone did the “oops, did I do that” after she told her followers to dog pile Larsen over this. Then proceeded mock him through sites like CA and Mary Sue for leaving the internet because he couldn’t handle criticism when it was people sending him threats, wanting his head, wanting him fired, etc.

What made this even far more amazing was how Simone ran to DeConnick when Simone was called out for doing this to Larsen. DeConnick proceeded to use her and her husband’s fans to go after these critics because they went after one of her own (a crazed feminist with mediocre to subpar writing skills in an industry that’s been welcoming to women for several decades.)

Most of this trails back to nearly a year ago after the Batgirl cover debacle.
